It’s the biggest weekend in WWE! WrestleMania is officially here, and we have the match cards set for both nights! We always know that surprises happen at WrestleMania, and with this year being in Sin City, I have zero doubts that there will be several twists and turns, but let’s talk about our predictions for the matches we know!
Night One:
Gunther (C) vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship –
Jey Uso is one of the most over stars in WWE right now. Every single week, fans yeet along with him and cheer on literally everything he does. While this feud has recently gained steam with Gunther attacking Jimmy. My pick does not change. Jey will walk out as the champion and finally beat Gunther for the title.
Jade Cargill vs. Naomi –
We all know Naomi attacked Jade and took her out of action for several weeks. Naomi also took the tag belt from Jade when she attacked and injured her. So this sounds like Jade should win and get revenge at Mania, but I don’t think so. I think the heel work Naomi is doing right now is golden and needs to continue. Count on Glow to win at Mania and continue proving that she is a force!
The War Raiders (C) vs. The New Day for the Tag Titles-
This is a newly added match to the card. We haven’t gotten a ton of build-up for this match since it’s so recent, but we do know New Day has been on this heel run and will do anything to win (ask Big E.) I’m picking New Day to win this because I think it strengthens the tag title storyline.
Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano –
If I’m being honest, I almost forgot this was on the match card. While I respect both Rey and Americano (aka Chad Gable), I don’t have too much interest in the feud. With that being said, I’m going to give the win to El Grande Americano only because he has been “training” to defeat the luchadores.
LA Knight (C) vs. Jacob Fatu –
PUT THE TITLE ON JACOB – that is all! No disrespect to LA Knight, but Jacob is a star and this is his time!
Tiffany Stratton (C) vs. Charlotte Flair for the Women’s Championship –
On this one, I am a bit torn between what I want to happen and what I think WWE will do. I would love for Tiffany to beat Charlotte and keep Tiffy Time going. I think she is a star, and her title reign should be longer. However, the WWE usually puts a title on Charlotte whenever she comes back, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the queen stands tall.
CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns –
Last, we have the custody of Paul Heyman match. But seriously, the build-up to this match just keeps getting stronger and stronger, and I think we are in for a match of the century! Between trading favors, Punk and Heyman reuniting, and the Tribal Chief questioning everything, this match will be full of drama and personally, I don’t think Punk is finished cashing in favors. We know he wanted to main event at WrestleMania, but what does he want more? To win! I expect Punk (& Paul) to do everything in their power to get that win for Punk.
Night Two:
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (C) vs. Lyra Valkyria & Bayley for the Tag Titles-
First, I have to say I wish instead of being in a tag title match, Lyra was defending her title at Mania, but this is what we have. I fully expect Liv & Raquel to retain the titles, and I think Bayley will turn heel and attack Lyra, setting up a feud between those two for the title.
Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre –
This feud, I think, is underrated. Drew and Damian are both major assets to the WWE, and I personally think they can steal the show. With that being said, this is a match that could go either way. I’m going to pick Damian because I think this “Drew always losing” character will stick around for a while.
AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul –
This feud, to me, is random, but it works. I think ultimately we will find out Karrion Kross is helping Logan, and Paul will end up winning. We know Karrion has been trying to get in Style’s head and turn him heel so that he can win, and let’s be honest, Logan will do anything to win. Therefore, I’m giving the W to Logan.
Bron Breakker (C) vs. Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor for the IC Championship –
I feel like with this match, literally anyone can win. You could make a case for all four of these guys. We have seen the back and forth with these four for weeks now, and the insane spears that Bron has handed out, which makes me fully excited to see these four finally battle it out in the ring. I fully expect this to be the collapse of Finn/Dom, and I personally think one of them will win. I am going to go with Dom because I think it adds even more sauce to his beef with Finn.
Iyo Sky (C) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship –
I’m excited for this match because all three of these women are powerhouses. The strength of Bianca and Rhea, mixed with Iyo’s flying ability, will be sure to make this a show-stopping performance. I almost picked Iyo to win here because I think Bianca and Rhea are sleeping on her and too focused on each other, but I have to give the title to Bianca. She has continuously proven herself, and she deserves another WrestleMania win.
Cody Rhodes (C) vs. John Cena for the Undisputed Championship –
John shocked the world when he joined forces with The Rock and turned heel. Now we have John’s first match as a heel, and he is chasing his history. Typically, in WWE, the bad guy doesn’t win, but I think that will change on Sunday, and John will defeat Cody for the title.
